Culter Theatre Club is proud to welcome Suspect Moustache Theatre back to the village hall this June, in a new one-man play, written and performed by Paul Hughson.
Meet Bob, a local mannie who will tell you all about growing up in Culter - he'll make you laugh, he might even make you cry! This is essentially a story about love, life and strife, about human frailties and how we cope with them. Very funny but also very moving...

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
Explore. Dream. Discover.
Paul Hughson has been treading the boards, on and off, for 40 years. He first appeared as Little Miss Muffet (seriously!) in his Boys Brigade show when he was 10 years old. His protestations at cross-gender casting fell on deaf ears, as
the following year he was cast as the leading lady in Annie Get Your Gun!
In recent years he has strutted his considerable stuff in shows as diverse as Entertaining Mr Sloane (playing Eddie, the gay brother - spotted a theme yet?!) and Jack The Ripper - The Musical (playing the all-seeing, father-figure Chairman - but still showing off). Paul has recently tried his (once again, considerable) luck on TV (River City, Garrow's Law) and in 2011 he took a lead role in his first feature film, My Brother's Keeper by Clan Films.
2012 saw Paul take Gotcha! (a one-man play written for him by the wonderful Charles Barron) to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and he has enjoyed success wherever he has performed that particular gem of a show. Following Charles' sudden and tragic death last year, Paul has vowed to continue the initial success of Suspect Moustache Theatre, and so brings you Fit Like!!, a doric play written and performed by a genuine doric loon. Enjoy. This show is dedicated to Paul's dearly loved and fondly remembered mum, Edna.
