PLEASE NOTE - THE AUDITIONS FOR TUESDAY 25th AUGUST have been POSTPONED until THURSDAY 27th AUGUST due to an unforseen emergency.
Ever thought you'd like to have a go on stage? Well now's the time to come along and show us your stuff. This is Culter Theatre Club's 25th Anniversary Panto - and we're going right back to our roots with the Panto that started it all Robin Hood & The Babes In The Wood. We've got great plans as always for the show, and whether you want one of the main parts, a supporting role, or just to be one of our great chorus, young or old, we'd love for you to come along. So add the date to your diary today:
Excerpts from the script, songs and dances will be available on the night (you don't have to memorise anything!).
So come along and let us see your talent to celebrate 25 years of CTC!
As well as our performers on stage, putting on any show takes a huge amount of effort from the people working behind the scenes. From lighting and sound, to costumes, set, props and more, there are a whole load of different things to get involved in.
If you'd like to get involved we'd love to hear from you! You don't need any experience - just enthusiasm to help out, and if you're interested in some of the more technical aspects of the show, we'd love to show you the ropes there too.
Interested? Come along to one of the audition nights and let us have your contact details, ask questions and say hello, or contact us on our website directly.
In case you weren't sure, here's a list of the main roles being cast - as well as the oodles of folks we need for the chorus as well of course!
Follow Gordon, Margaret, Joyce and Bernard once more as they find their patch is being taken over by a rival club - who even know their lines!! Once they sort them out, they decide they're going to take on the worlds biggest TV shows with their very own version - with somewhat disastrous consequences!
Come and join us for an excellent evening entertainment, fun and laughter. Bring your own bottle and snacks and we'll provide the table seating for you to enjoy a great night out. Tickets are now available from Culter Village Hall (tel 01224 734 371) - only £10!
Don't delay - seats are limited so get your tickets ASAP - we'd hate for you to miss out. You can also download a poster and put it up to spread the word!
Every year Culter Theatre Club presents our "Rita Hunter Award" to someone in the club in recognition of the work they've done over the previous year.
This year the award was presented at our DVD night, and the committee decided that the deserving recipient would be Matthew Daldry for his brilliant performances, both in the youth play "Big Bad & Little Red" earlier in 2014 where he played the Judge, and also for his excellent transformation as Buttons in our annual panto, Cinderella last December.
Matthew was presented with his award by our Chairman Kerwin Robertson, and Cinderella director, Tom Forbes. Well done Matthew!
Did you enjoy last year's "Little Grimley" summer show? Well there are another two hilarious comedies in the series which the club will be putting on in June this year:
We now have open auditions for parts in the show on Tuesday 24th February 2015 at 7.30pm in the Village Hall. Adult cast men and women welcome to come and audition! Reading parts will be available on the night.
We have a series of workshops up soon for any of our adult club members out there who are interested in coming along to find out more about acting techniques with Angela Main. She’ll explore different techniques with the group, using Shakespeare, so if you’d like to try to expand your acting abilities – whatever your current level please come along!
It will be one evening session over four weeks starting Thursday February 26th at the village hall from 7.30pm-9.30pm.
If you’d like to come along, please register your interest by contacting us as soon as possible.
